Rivian R1S Tri wins Esquire Car of the Year award
The Gen 2 Rivian R1S Tri has been named as Esquire’s Car of the Year for 2024. The publication noted that it awarded the vehicle with the accolade thanks to its great balance of tech, toughness, and power.
As noted by Esquire, Rivian owners tend to love their vehicles, and for good reason. They’re some of the most off-road capable vehicles in the market today, and they are made in such a way that they are futuristic while still being familiar. As noted by the publication, Rivians are “eye-catching but not over-the-top.”
The Gen 2 R1S Tri is also brimming with power, outgunning even high performance sedans like the BMW M5 or over-the-top SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus in a 0-60 mph sprint. But all this power does not mean to say that the Rivian R1S Tri is no longer comfortable. On the contrary, its interior is also very spacious and welcoming.
Esquire summarized its thoughts on the Rivian R1S Tri in the following segment.
“These days, many new trucks and SUVs project a large, menacing presence, as if they could run you off the road at any moment. The Rivian Tri-Motor R1S sends a completely different message.
